奈良の桜も今日の雨でそろそろ終わりです。

今日は初めて、キクモモの花と出会いました。

江戸時代からあるモモの品種で、菊の花のような花びらを持つことから

「キクモモ」と呼ばれいているそうです。

It is the end of  enjoying  the cherry bloosm in Nara by today’s raining.

Today it was first time to see “Kikumomo” for me.

It is from Edo period.and it’s kind of peach,

but the petal looks like the chrysanthemum.

so actually people call it “Kikumomo(chrysanthemum peach)
